Ashton Jeanty compiled one of the most impressive running back campaigns in college football history, and now he’s headed to the NFL.
Multiple teams could have interest in selecting him in the first round, but one stands out above the rest, according to the betting markets.
The Dallas Cowboys are heavy -170 favorites to draft the Boise State star in April. Dallas has the No. 12 overall pick.
Rico Dowdle reached 1,000 rushing yards on the season, but the oddsmakers believe Dallas will be intent on adding another potential star alongside Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb on offense.
Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard were a strong running back duo in Dallas for a long time, but both are now elsewhere.
The Raiders and Texans are also among the favorites, though significantly behind Dallas.
It’s rare for a team to be an odds-on favorite to draft any player outside of the top-5, but Jeanty to Dallas has a lot of momentum.

Jeanty finished second in the Heisman Trophy voting this season, carrying the ball 374 times for 2,601 yards and 29 touchdowns.
He averaged 7.0 yards per carry on a huge number of attempts, and while that number will decrease in the NFL, many project him to be a game-breaking presence.
The Raiders have the No. 6 overall pick and a hole at quarterback, so Jeanty would really need to impress to be the pick.
The Texans select No. 19 overall, and Jeanty could be a long-term piece alongside quarterback C.J. Stroud.
The Broncos and Steelers are also intriguing longer shots, as both could be in need of a starting running back for 2025 and beyond.
